The 2launch.online Manifesto

The web used to feel different.

You'd stumble across someone's homepage, a blog about a niche hobby, a tiny tool built over a weekend, or a personal project shared simply because someone wanted to make something. Discovery wasn't driven by algorithms trying to maximize engagement. It was driven by curiosity, links, and people.

2launch.online exists to bring a little of that spirit back.

We believe the web is healthier when individuals have a place alongside companies. A personal website shouldn't have to compete with billion-dollar marketing budgets or search engine optimization strategies just to be seen. Sometimes the most interesting corners of the internet are created by a single person with an idea worth sharing.

Our goal is simple: make it easy to discover websites built by people.

Not influencers. Not growth hackers. Not content farms.

People.

We value personality over polish, originality over optimization, and authenticity over engagement metrics. Whether it's a digital garden, a blog, a portfolio, an experimental web app, a photo journal, or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, it deserves a chance to be found.

Community First

2launch.online is built around its community.

Anyone can submit websites. Anyone can discover something new. The directory should grow because people care enough to recommend interesting places, not because an algorithm decides what deserves attention.

We'd rather have a thousand genuine recommendations than a million AI-generated pages.

Discovery, Not Algorithms

There is no endless personalized feed.

There is no engagement score.

There is no race to game an algorithm.

Instead, we want browsing to feel intentional again. Explore categories. Follow your curiosity. Click links because they sound interesting, not because a recommendation engine predicted you would stay online a few seconds longer.

Serendipity is a feature, not a bug.

Independent by Default

We love personal websites.

Commercial websites have their place, and many build genuinely useful products, but they shouldn't drown out individual creators. Commercial projects are welcome in clearly marked categories so people know what they're browsing, while keeping the spotlight on independent creators.

Fast Matters

A directory shouldn't take seconds to load.

The web is already heavy enough. 2launch.online aims to be lightweight, accessible, and fast. Pages should load quickly, work on older devices, and remain usable even on slow connections.

Fast websites respect people's time.

Open and Sustainable

We want to keep 2launch.online as free from commercial influence as practical.

That means no intrusive advertising, no attention traps, and no dark patterns. If the project needs funding, it should come in ways that don't compromise the experience or the community that makes it valuable.

A Better Web Starts Small

The internet doesn't become better because one giant platform changes.

It becomes better because thousands of people build things, share them, and help others discover them.

Every personal website is a small piece of a richer web.

Every link is an invitation.

Every submission helps someone discover something they would never have found otherwise.

That's the internet we'd like to help build.

Welcome to 2launch.online.
